Whitchurch's Railway Heritage Bill Webb 3m |
This
circular walk explored the railway
history of Whitchurch, which was at one time a busy junction with
branches to Chester and Oswestry. Much of the old railway
infrastructure is no longer apparent but there are some remnants still
to be seen (such as the original turntable bed). This guided walk stopped at various locations along the route and the leader pointed out remaining features with the aid of photographs showed comparisons to the present day. |
