An incredible 17 species of dragonfly and damesfly have been recorded here, making this Shropshire Wildlife Trusts top dragonfly location. From here we will visit a sandstone ridge and also a rock house which is very unusual and into the quarries for our lunch (please bring your own lunch) There are panoramic views on route and dogs are most welcome. This is a lovely flat and dry walk around Hodnet which will
have scenic view points over the hills and includes seeing a
medieval stray animal pound and walking on a glow worm trail.
There should be an abundance of spring flowers such as the
daffodils on this mad march hare month.Meet at Sherry Mill car park and then car share to Hodnet social club which has free parking TF9 3NS At the end of the walk, we will drive 5 minutes to a great tea room called the Hungry Frog for our lunch with which they serve all day breakfasts and other tasty food and cakes.
