Thank you for joining us at the Whitchurch Walking Festival.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Whitchurch Town Council, Pellitec and Involved Holidays, we were able to subsidise many of the walks.
The 3 Canal Boat Walks were £5 each (£4 for children), Oteley £7 (£4 for children) and Hawkstone £9 (£5 for children).  Other walks are £3 except where stated (and for those walks, children were able to go FREE).

This circular walk within the town boundary aims to explore the railway history of Whitchurch, which was at one time a busy junction with branches to Chester and Oswestry. Much of the old railway infrastructure is no longer apparent but there are some remnants still to be seen and these will be examined. This guided walk will stop at various locations along the route and the leader will point out remaining features and with the aid of photographs show comparisons to the present day.
